And thank you Peggy for the wine tasting experience. Gorgeous setting, delicious food, excellent service and an. Wine tasting is an absolute SCAM! This was a BIG red flag to us first hand. We walked to up wine taste, and were told we could only sample the 5 wines they had featured for the day. We sampled 5 wines that we would never sample on our own, not terrible wines. But the lady dispensing the wine was uneducated about the wines.

Any questions we had she was unable to answer. The only thing she wanted to talk about was how some of the younger women were dressed. Absolute rip off and scam! Not worth it at all! Honestly the entire wine tasting needs to be completely closed down and the fact that our server did not card prior to serving- she should be dismissed from the business. On the other hand, the bistro was amazing! Food was amazing as well as wine!

It was a wonderful day for an outing.. However, they were still serving other clients an hour later. I will be back. I just hope the next time the bistro will be available. I had check online to assure that my special day there would be great.

Still I give five stars cause of the scenery. By opening the doors to Childress Vineyards in , NASCAR team owner Richard Childress fulfilled a longtime dream that grew from the days when he first began racing in California and visited wineries with friends.

What began as camaraderie and good times soon became an engaging passion for world-class wines and then the vision to build a world-class winery. I really enjoy their weekend events. Food is delicious, music is nice and of course the wine is always very good. The atmosphere is always fun, relaxing and wonderful. The staff are top-notch and the most professional and so friendly. You can tell they enjoy and love working there.

The wine was awesome! I can't wait to go back!! I have done numerous tastings here over the last many years, and it is always enjoyable. This is a must do for anyone who likes drinking wine or is in the area visiting. Overall such a great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone interested.
